"Australian Essence, California Style"

In 1994, Christopher and Kristine Williams set out to find land in Northern California comparable to Australia's acclaimed Barossa Valley, legendary for its rich Shiraz. They found the perfect union of climate, soil, and geography on 56 acres just south of the small town of Cloverdale in the Alexander Valley. They established Wattle Creek Winery here in March 1994, and decided to create the best possible marriage of geography and the varietals they now produce.

Visiting the Winery

We have brought wine country to the city! The new Wattle Creek tasting room is located in San Francisco's historic Ghirardelli Square and is open seven days a week for your convenience and pleasure. Discover what happens when amazing winemaking and sublime terroir come together. You will have the opportunity to sample all of our wines, including very limited releases only available in our tasting room (and of course to Creek and Billabong Club members)! Come by for a taste or just to pick up a bottle or two for supper.

We are open Sunday through Thursday 11:00am - 6:00pm; Friday and Saturday 11:00am - 9:00pm.
