Ampelos Cellars & Vineyard is a small family operated vineyard and winery located in the Santa Rita Hills appellation just north of Santa Barbara, California. We purchased our 82 acres of beautiful ranch land in 1999 and planted our first vines in 2001. We dedicate ourselves to following premier farming practices and meticulous vine management, harvesting at very low yields to obtain the highest quality grapes. The varietals we have planted are Pinot Noir, Syrah, Grenache and Viognier, based on extensive clone diversity to provide us our “spice cabinet”. We follow traditional winemaking practices to produce limited quantities of Viognier, Rose of Syrah, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Syrah/Grenache wines.
