Appellation America Subscription Access

The Appellation America subscription program is changing. In keeping with other publications that offer detailed database content a new format has been created to provide monthly sampling of the site while full open access will remain a benefit to subscribers.

Given the large volume of visitors to the site generated by search, many have not explored the depth of winery, appellation and grape content or reviewed the Best of Appellation reviews. To accommodate familiarization with Appellation America, limited access sessions to the site will be made available monthly. Three sessions per month will be granted on an ongoing basis. For those who seek unlimited ongoing monthly access the subscription program is the best course of action.

At the same time Appellation America is embarking on a major enhancement to coverage of regional diversity across North America. A redesign of the site pages in the Appellation Index will incorporate travel and visitation information, editorial, and easy links to hotel, restaurant, attraction and tasting room content.

The Best of Appellation evaluation program continues with insightful regional tastings that seek to define regional diversity across North America and highlight those wines that are exemplary of that regional character. Posting of regional profiles to the Best of Appellation Blue Book presents a compendium of diversity for varietal wines across North America. A lighter review of wine profiles will be posted monthly under our Sommelier Wine Picks, often focusing to a single varietal.

For subscribers the full archives of hundreds of wine articles posted by some of the best wine writers can always be accessed. The sorting capacities of Appellation America to identify which wineries make which wines in which AVA, county or state appellation is instantly available. New detailed travel information will be quickly available for visitation to wine appellations as our expansion to visitation develops over the following year.

The mission of Appellation America is to discover and communicate the diversity of North America's wine growing regions. We intend to enhance access for new viewers and build on benefits for subscribers.
