Petite Sirah, long a rich and rustic staple in the varietal catalogue of Shenandoah Valley, is a "natural" for the big fruit-forward stylization resulting from the modern techniques at C.G. DiArie. Paradoxically, closed initially, this wine blossoms explosively with dense bramble, plum, blueberry cobbler flavors, yet presents tartness and tannins reminiscent of traditional PS from the region.
